Effective November 1, 2025, Tucson Veterinary Urgent Care will be shifting our standard operating hours from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.
We’re making this change to better serve pets whose cases flow in from general practice clinics so that when your regular vet refers to after-hours or urgent cases, we’re here for you later into the evening.
Why the Change?
- Support for local general practices
Many primary care veterinarians wrap up by early evening. By extending our hours, we aim to be the bridge for same-day urgent cases, easing the strain for primary practices and ensuring pets get timely care rather than waiting until morning. - Better access for pet parents
We know emergencies and illnesses don’t keep office hours. Shifting to 10 a.m.–10 p.m. gives you more flexibility. Whether your pet becomes ill late in the afternoon or early evening, or your schedule only allows later drop-offs. - Optimized triage and patient flow
The new hours give us more breathing room between the busiest early evening rush and later cases, helping us provide better triage, diagnostics, and care with fewer compromises on quality.
We believe this change better aligns with the needs of both veterinary practices and pet families. It’s part of our ongoing effort to make Tucson Veterinary Urgent Care the reliable, accessible option for urgent pet care in Tucson and the surrounding areas. If you have questions about how the change might affect your pet’s care, or if you want to confirm your preferred arrival window still works for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
